WHAT IS CABINET?

Since its founding in 1963, NYL Cabinet has successfully attracted people who lead at the highest level of Jewish communal life. A Jewish values-based leadership and philanthropic development initiative, Cabinet engages highly dedicated individuals who embody the values of humility, authenticity, and integrity. Members have the opportunity to establish a peer group, network and share best practices, and troubleshoot community challenges to help grow Next Gen engagement at home and deepen commitment to Jewish life and Federation. Through Cabinet missions and programming, members take part in hands on experiences to learn about the work of Federation and our partner agencies and to strengthen their connections to global Jewry. With approximately 350 current members from 55 Federations across North America, NYL Cabinet stewards leaders to have the skill sets necessary to strengthen Jewish life locally, be the voice for young Jewish adults nationally, and advocate for those in need globally.
