“A Mirror for the Sun” Tamar Ariel grew up in a religious home. Encouraged to follow her dreams, she joined the IDF air force, where she served as the first-ever Jewish Orthodox combat navigator. In 2014, she traveled to Nepal, where she found herself in a life and death struggle against the elements.
Neta Ariel joined Ma'aleh as assistant director and academic director in 1995 and has been serving as the school’s director since 2001. She graduated in political science and theater studies at Hebrew University, Jerusalem.
