Description

Jewish Cleveland young adults: Join the conversation at “Being Black, Jewish, and Israeli.”

Growing up as a black, Jewish woman in Israel has given Mayana Branigan a unique perspective and passion for social justice. At this interactive discussion, you'll have the chance to talk about the different Jewish identities and heritages in Israeli society through Mayana's captivating story.

ABOUT MAYANA BRANIGAN: Mayana was born and raised in a small Orthodox community located in the center of Israel. Following graduation from high school, she worked with adults who suffer from mental disability, and later received a BA in African studies, Israel studies, and gender studies.
