Description

The Story Behind Moshe Gershuni’s Work
Join Monique Har-El, owner and director of Gallery Har-El Printers & Publishers, and co-curators Matthew Garson and Katya Oicherman for the story of how Gershuni’s artist book of Allen Ginsberg’s “Kaddish” was conceived and created.

Monique and Jacob Har-El, printmakers, Moshe Gershuni, artist, and Natan Zach, translator, were discussing a way to celebrate the 70th birthday of beat poet Allen Ginsberg. Their idea was to create an art book based on Ginsberg’s poem, Kaddish, in honor of his late mother Naomi. Sadly, Ginsberg passed away before he could receive the book.

Sunday, February 15
11:30 am - 1 pm

The final open house for “MEMORY” follows from 1 – 3 pm. Zygote Press will be on hand to help you create your own special edition screenprint.
