As we celebrate Israel's 70th anniversary of independence, we reflect and look ahead with Israeli philosopher, professor, and writer Moshe Halbertal.
Professor Halbertal will share insights about Israel as a Jewish, democratic state through the prism of Jewish identity, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and minority communities in Israel.

ABOUT MOSHE HALBERTAL:
Professor Moshe Halbertal is a Professor of Law at NYU Law School and at Radzyner School of Law, and a Professor of Jewish Thought and Philosophy at the Hebrew University. He is the author of many books, including Concealment and Revelation: Esotericism in Jewish Tradition and Its Philosophical Implications (2007), On Sacrifice (2012), and Maimonides: Life and Thought (2013). He received his PhD in Jewish Thought and Philosophy from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Professor Halbertal is the recipient of the Bruno Award of the Rothschild foundation, and the Goren Goldstein award for the best book in Jewish Thought in the years 1997-2000.
