Description

An estimated 1.3 million youth are living homeless and unsupervised on the streets. Our local partner, Bellefaire JCB, is on the ground helping many of these youth at-risk.

Hear from everyday heroes in the panel discussion, "Taking a Closer Look at Sex Trafficking in the 216" featuring:

- Karen McHenry LISW-S, LCDC, Program Manager, Bellefaire's Homeless and Missing Youth Programs
- Beth Cohen Pollack, Director of Organizational Advancement at Bellefaire

Then, hear a presentation about "Examining Youth At-Risk in Israel" featuring Youth Futures* professionals from our sister city of Beit Shean, Israel.

Together, we will learn about the risks facing homeless youth, the horrors of sex trafficking, and how we help community members in Cleveland and Israel in need

Then, participate in a hands-on service project creating snack kits for use by Bellefaire's Homeless and Missing Youth team. These snack kits help staff connect with youth that are on the street and enable them to assess their level of safety. Interactions may occur at a library, school, coffee shop, mall, or bus station.

Requested items for donation include:
Small bottled water
Gatorade
Packets of Kool-aide
Gum
Soft granola bars
Energy bars
Peppermint candy
Quart-sized storage bags

Cost: $18/person

Box Lunch will be provided
(kosher dietary laws observed)
