Please join Jewish and African-American community leaders to celebrate the achievements of legendary baseball player Larry Doby.

In 1947, Larry Doby became the first African-American to play in the majors for the American League right here in Cleveland. Join special guests Larry Doby, Jr. and Jim “Mudcat” Grant (1954 Cleveland Indians, and Larry Doby’s roommate) as they share their favorite memories of Doby.

This program includes admission to the Maltz Museum and to the exhibit, "Chasing Dreams: Baseball & Becoming American." Visitors are encouraged to arrive early to tour the galleries and exhibition. Maltz Museum hours are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
