Event Details
Description
A celebration honoring our Pomegranate Society, Lion of Judah Society, and Lion of Judah Endowment Donors.
Find inspiration, support, and hope from hearing each other’s stories and reflections on how we responded since the tragic events of October 7, 2023. We will learn how Jewish Cleveland and our partners have taken action by hearing directly from those in Israel who have been affected by October 7 and from members of our Cleveland community who have spent time in Israel volunteering and meeting with victims.
We will be joined by Batya Mantzur of Kibbutz Kissufim, Cleveland’s new partner community and daughter of Shlomo Mantzur who is the oldest hostage still in captivity in Gaza; Sapir Dayan of Cleveland’s sister city, Beit Shean, Israel; and Allison Wuliger, a Clevelander who recently co-chaired the volunteer mission to Israel. Over dinner, we will be joined by special guests from the Beit Shean Leadership Delegation and Cleveland community shlichim (Israeli emissaries) for meaningful and moving discussion. The evening will be an opportunity to reflect with others, stand in solidarity, and learn how you can continue to show your support.
Plus, honor Jennifer E. Cohen, recipient of the 2024 Ruby Bass Challenge Award, and Leslie Holz and Amy Nadler, recipients of the inaugural 2024 Lois Marcus Leadership Award.
To inspire future generations and to ensure the continuity of our tradition of tzedakah, we invite your daughters, daughters-in-law, and/or adult granddaughters to join you at this event.

Lion of Judah Endowment (LOJE) honors women who have created funds that will provide annual support to the Campaign for Jewish Needs forever. LOJE donors are members of Federation’s Legacy Society and are invited to sign the Endowment Book of Life.
Lion of Judah Society celebrates women who make individual gifts of $5,000 or more to the annual Campaign for Jewish Needs. Many Lions proudly wear a gold Lion pin, which represents the strength, honor, and dedication of the Tribe of Judah, one of the Twelve Tribes of Israel.
Pomegranate Society celebrates women who make individual gifts of $1,800 or more to the annual Campaign for Jewish Needs. Many Pomegranates proudly wear a silver Pomegranate pin; they are named for the biblical fruit, said to contain 613 seeds – one for each of the commandments found in the Torah.
