Description

Join us on for YLDay of Caring: Zikaron BaSalon (remembrance in the living room), a meaningful Israeli tradition commemorating Yom HaShoah V'Hagvurah (Holocaust Memorial Day).

With our shlicha (Israeli emissary) Danielle Asif, Jewish Clevelanders between the ages of 21 and 45 are invited to gather in living rooms across the city to meet Holocaust survivors, listen to their stories, and engage in intimate and moving conversations about the importance of keeping the memory of the Holocaust alive.

We hope you'll join us for this incredible opportunity.

ABOUT ZIKARON BASALON:
Zikaron BaSalon (translated literally into “remembrance in the living room” from Hebrew) started as an annual Israeli event and has now become a community of over 150,000 participants worldwide. Born from the understanding that the connection between us (the third generation descendants of Holocaust survivors) and the memories of the Holocaust have significantly deteriorated, Zikaron BaSalon is a new and authentic way to memorialize Yom HaShoah (Holocaust Remembrance Day).
